• Nano brows are a permanent makeup procedure that creates small hair-like strokes within the pattern of your natural brow hair growth improving the density and shape of your natural brow. Visually it is much like microblading but the implantation technique is different. Microblading is done by implanting ink into small cuts made in the skin using a tiny blade. Nano brows are created using a tattoo machine. The tattoo machine causes much less trauma to the skin compared to the small cuts created during microblading. This results in better healing and longer-lasting results. Because of the reduced trauma caused during the procedure, the majority of the population are good candidates for nano brows whereas microblading is only ideal for a small percentage of people.

    • Nano brows offer more options in artistry as well. The “hairstrokes” can be tapered at the ends and built up through the midsection, allowing the artist more flexibility in matching the coarseness of natural brow hairs and in creating more density in particularly sparse areas. The artist can also vary the thickness/density of each stroke creating more natural dimension in the final result. Nano brow strokes can be seamlessly blended with some shading as well for clients who prefer or would benefits from) a fuller look. This technique is called a nano combo brow.

  • Healing instructions should be followed for 10-14 days during which time your brows should remain clean and dry. Please click the link at the top of the page to access full aftercare instructions and detailed information about the healing stages.

  • Brows will fade gradually over time; clients typically come in for a refresh about 18 months from the initial procedure. It is recommended you wait until you are at least 50% faded before booking your touchup.

  • Discomfort is minimal. Numbing cream is used and reapplied throughout the process to keep you as comfortable as possible. The area may feel a bit tight after the procedure, like a sunburn, but this will subside within a day or two.

  • Four hours are blocked off for initial appointments, although it may not necessarily take that long. Touch-up appointments are usually under 2 hours.

  • Nano brows and other permanent makeup (PMU) techniques are intended to look very natural, so depending on how much makeup you like to wear, you may or may not continue to use makeup on your brows. PMU is intended to enhance your natural brows, especially for times when you are not wearing makeup, but is not intended to replace makeup altogether. PMU does not sit on top of the skin like makeup and can be covered up by foundation and other powders. That being said, since your brow shape will be well-defined by the PMU and your brows will appear more full, you will likely use less makeup on your brows and your routine will be significantly faster and easier.

  • Nano brows are ideal for those with dry-to-normal or combination skin types, and normal healing processes. Clients with excessively oily or textured skin are better suited for a powder brow or combo technique. For those who have had previous tattooing/microblading done on their brows, photos must be submitted prior to booking to ensure an ideal result can be achieved.

  • It is best to allow your brows to grow out leading up to your appointment. A minor clean-up is suitable before your appointment, but please do not reshape or trim the natural brow in any way.

You may arrive to the appointment with or without makeup, whichever is more comfortable for you.

Feel free to apply your usual moisturizer the day of the appointment.
