Washing Instructions
POWDER, COMBO OR NANO BROWS: 4x a day for 4 days
Using your fingertips, massage the brows with a gentle cleanser and lukewarm water. Gently pat dry with a soft tissue and apply a rice grain amount of the provided ointment after each wash. Begin washing your brows about 1 hour after your service. After the 4th day, leave the brows alone and do not wash or apply ointment as to not disrupt the flaking.
Recommended Cleansers
Wash your brows with a gentle cleanser. Cleansers by the brands Cerave and Cetaphil are best. Avoid using cleansers that contain oils, charcoal, or acids. Avoid using bar soap and micellar cleansers to wash your brows.
Activities to Avoid for 10-14 Days
Excessive sweating from exercising or heat exposure.
Getting your brows/forehead wet outside of instructed washing (shower/saunas/pools).
Tanning bed use or excessive UV ray exposure at any point after having brows tattooed will result in discoloration and fading.
Always let estheticians know of any permanent makeup procedures before receiving services.
Do not pick at flaking or possible scabbing. This will pull the ink out permanently.
Avoid Retin A, retinol, tretinoin, vitamin A, or oils on forehead at any point after having brows tattooed. You will need laser removal after use and will not be able to receive a touch up.
No lotion, non-gentle cleansers, or makeup should be applied to the brows until they are done flaking.
What to Expect
After treatment, it is normal to feel a sunburned sensation for a few days followed by dry, itchy, or tender skin.
Brows will appear darker and bolder a few days after the appointment due to swelling & ink oxidization.
During the next 4-6 weeks, the brows will typically lighten & shrink 30-50%.
Healing process takes approximately 4-6 weeks. Touch ups can take place any point after 6 weeks.
As your brows heal, you may notice color change, disappear, and reappear as they settle. Color may flake off and appear softer and less visible but will slowly reappear over the next few weeks.
This is normal, and why two appointments may be necessary. Be patient and know that this is the part of the normal and expected healing process.
Medical Care
Signs and symptoms that indicate the need to seek medical care:
Excessive redness, swelling, tenderness of the procedure site, red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site.
If an adverse reaction or infection develops at the site of your tattoo, contact your personal physician for treatment.
